Field Support Services, Inc., dba Geo-Serv, located in Alexandria, Va., is the prime contractor on the MTAIP Upload Contract which involves the upload of enhanced TIGER/Line spatial and attribute files derived from a pre-processed GIS file. Individual TIGER/Line partitions (counties) are uploaded to the TIGER DB and then edge-matched with adjacent partitions. This contract continues the work of Geo-Serv on the Census MTAIP Program begun with the Census 2000 Baseline Evaluation Project which involved the re-alignment of the Bureau of Census Tiger line files based on local county files or Aerial/ Ortho photography for preparation of the 2010 Census by doing data prep, conflation, QC and upload. Geo-Serv completed that work with a 99.8% acceptance approval rating.
As part of that effort Geo-Serv developed a suite of applications for Quality Assurance (QA), Data Conflation, Spatial Data Editing, Data Conversion, Metadata Creating and Editing, TIGER/Line Improvement Analysis, and GPS-based Quality Control.
