FSSI provides Transportation Services at Fort Benning, GA and Logistics support at two remote sites; Camp Frank D. Merrill, Dahlonega Georgia (U.S. Ranger Mountain Training Center) and Camp James E. Rudder, Eglin AFB, Florida (U.S Army Ranger Jungle Training Center). Public Works functions are performed at Camp Merrill in addition to Logistics operations. We provide the management, resources and personnel to perform facility maintenance and repair, operate a Water and Wastewater Plant, provide transportation support (vehicle maintenance and fleet operations, aircraft refueling and DRMO transport. At Camp Rudder, in addition to vehicle maintenance, fleet operations and aircraft refueling, we maintain boats and motors and provide extensive troop transport to training sites.
At Fort Benning our Transportation Division manages and operates a multi-service Personal Property and Travel Office that serves all members of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and DOD civilian employees seeking assistance irrespective of duty assignment or location of personal property. The Personal Property Office is responsible for the shipment, receipt, storage and inspection of household goods and the Travel Office arranges for the official travel of personnel and also provides Passport Services.
